Assistants at Gold Studio have unique education opportunities you’ll hardly find elsewhere. Along with daily hands on experience and guidance from Presley Poe, you’ll also see non-traditional career paths in the industry and have the opportunity to network with industry giants. You’ll even get to travel with Presley to education events, and develop an advanced skillset working will multiple textures and specialties.

Eager and willing to learn:
We ask that you come with an open mind and an eager to learn spirit! At Gold you will have a full rounded training and $500 a year per diem to access education outside of the salon.
We expect that you take models when appropriate, work on mannequins anytime you have a chance and keep your eyes on the education road cuz working with Presley is a master class every day!

Knowledge of Hairstyling Techniques
Have a good understanding of basic hairstyling techniques, such as blowouts, curling, straightening. *special points if you have worked at a blow out bar
Communication and Customer Service Skills
Excellent communication skills are crucial in this role. You'll be working closely with clients. Strong customer service skills are also important to make clients feel comfortable.
Physical Stamina
You'll often be on your feet for long periods and may need to assist with washing, blow-drying, and styling clients' hair. It's important to have the physical stamina to handle these tasks comfortably.
Attention to Detail and Organization
*I cannot express the need for attention to detail more.
When it comes to offering luxury services in the salon we pride ourselves on giving pretentious hair but not pretentious service! Each client should be catered to according to their individual needs and never feel like they are a problem to be dealt with.
Adaptability and flexibility
You may need to handle last-minute schedule changes, assist with multiple clients simultaneously.
My schedule can be challenging to keep up with and often requires a day to day schedule for you. (I do my best to accommodate any needs you might have)
Health and wellness:
Presley has an extremely active schedule and may need you at a minute's notice. There are no sick days available, however when Presley travels there can be downtime depending on salon team needs.
Requirements:
LIVE IN PORTLAND AREA!
Must be available for travel upon request
Be available for long work days
Must have cosmo license
Have own reliable vehicle
Have one year or less out of school (negotiable)
Administration & video skills not required but a plus!
Ability to commit to the position for 1 year
