Mission Statement
Our Mission
Exclusive Scheduling, Inclusive Servicing. All hair, all bodies, all people welcome here.
Gold studios was founded in November 2020, in the midst of the pandemic. The unfortunate circumstance of the pandemic gave me, Presley Poe, the one thing we often have little of, time. While so many had time with loved ones taken away, I advocated for love in the best way I knew how, through my craft. I decided to grow within the space that was forced upon us and did the thing that I never thought I wanted to do…build a salon.
With so much creating a divide amongst our city, I decided to use my skillset to build yet another bridge in our “city of bridges”. I wanted to create a space where all could feel truly invited, a space that I pieced together out of the haves and have-nots of the salons I have visited through the years of my 22-year career.
At Gold you are welcome to come as who you are, how you are, in all of your individual glory!
All that we ask is to be positive, bring your full self, and give grace. Grace to the person in the mirror and to those around you. We ask you to learn with us as we guide you through your appointment and get to know you and your specific needs.
We are committed to cultivating and preserving a culture of inclusion and connectedness.
We believe that we are able to grow and learn better together. We believe in the power of individual differences, life experiences, knowledge, and self-expression. We believe that our collective group of clients represents not only part of our culture, but our reputation and achievements as well. Our team welcomes the unique contributions that you can bring in terms of opinions, culture, ethnicity, race, sex, gender identity and expression, nation of origin, age, languages spoken, veteran’s status, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation, and beliefs. We value your differences and look forward to learning from you, about you. We believe in asking not assuming someone's character and ask for the grace of that privilege in return.
Gold is often associated with wealth and prosperity. It is also a color that exudes warmth. That’s exactly how we want you to feel: wealthy with support, prosperous with great service, and that warm and fuzzy feel when you enter. It was built to feel like an inviting space for all, and a space of luxury you deserve.
Everything you see in our studio has been curated with the aid of clients or family and we plan to keep it like that. Your presence matters here!
We want to thank you in advance for bringing your positivity when the world can be so negative.
Thank you for bringing your full self in support of our small business and those that it employs.
Thank you for trusting us.
…And thank you for taking the time to read this.
We appreciate you.
